Motherfunk & Shit Art Club present ‘The Chomp Romp’ – a night where we welcome you to the belly of the beast. 👹
We’re teaming up with Shit Art Club – our favorite gallery, venue, and community platform in downtown LA, who are known for their unique curation of art and playful experiences.
This experience will be a culmination of music and art, with custom lounges and installations, and three badass bands. Come early and don’t miss out on seeing Los Shadows, Billy Changer, and Wavy Trees.
Los Shadows – “Los Shadows were founded in San Diego, CA in 2015 by friends Andy Saldana and Pepe Gonzales. Building from a foundational 4 piece Indie Rock band, over the last 8 years, Los Shadows cultivated a strong national following built by self-released LPs, DIY merch roll-outs, regional and national tours, and supporting acts like Porter, Homeshake, Levitation Room, Tijuana Panthers, DIIV, and more. In 2024, expect Los Shadows to release more of their classic indie shoegaze sound with new splashes of psychedelic cumbia, followed by a United States tour.”
Billy Changer – Billy Changer has a skillfully honed sound consisting of tight-fitting 60s-70s guitars and spectral 80s synths. It’s a style that’s retro and dreamy, a little raw, ever so slightly punk, but equally hazed out and mellow.
Wavy Trees – If Wayne’s World and Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure collided in an alternate reality House party, Los Angeles based Wavy Trees would be the band playing in the backyard. The cosmic bartender at this gathering would be mixing swaggering hard rock riffs with the attitude and energy of garage-punk, dumping it into a shaker and pouring out a potent cocktail of we-could-give-a-f-ck fun. Wavy Trees is made up of Zack “Moondog” Smith on lead vox/guitar/piano, Jason Espirito on guitar, Brian Duke on bass/guitar, and Jack Gallner on drums.
Music begins at 9pm, but come early when doors open at 8pm for exploration & cocktail some sippin’.
